Athabasca University

Cristela D'Elia

I have a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and minor in Sociology from the University of Alberta. I earned my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University.

I have worked as a counselor for individuals, couples, families and groups. Most recently I worked as an addictions counselor for youths. With Athabasca University I also teach Psychology 388: Introduction to Counselling at the Yellowhead Tribal College.

The research, theories and practices of psychology are what hold my interest in this field of work. The area of psychology is so dynamic that one can never stop learning about it.

I hope you will all enjoy this course. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
